Metallic Epoxy Flooring in a Garage - Frisco, Texas

Problem: Boring grey concrete.

Solution: Grind and apply metallic epoxy floor coating in custom color

Preparation: The concrete was ground to prepare the concrete for epoxy.

Application:  Once the preparation work was completed I applied a moisture mitigating epoxy primer coat to the floor. This was allowed to dry over night. Day 2 I applied the customer metallic colors in Dolphin, Pearl and Black. Day 3 I applied a polysiloxane clear coat for added durability. 

Summary: My customer was looking for a floor with the WOW factor and he couldn't be happier!!

Concrete Staining a Patio - Celina Texas

The previous owner of this house had stained their arbor over top of their concrete patio. They didn't bother putting any plastic on the concrete to protect it from drips and proceeded to get stain drips all over the concrete. The new owner wanted to clean it all up. I ground the concrete to remove all of the stain and to give the concrete a more uniform finish since I was also dealing with three different pours of concrete. The customer couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Grey metallic epoxy floor coating - Hurst Texas

Project Description: Metallic Epoxy Floor Coatings

Problem: Original flooring was industrial carpet

Solution: Apply and beautiful metallic epoxy floor coating to match logo colors

Preparation:

Original flooring was removed and the concrete was ground to remove glue, paint and grime

Coating application:

A moisture barrier epoxy was applied to the concrete as a primer at 100sq/ft per gallon. Then the metallic epoxy was applied in three colors: pearl, dolphin and purple. The two grey where spread out over the floor at 50sq/ft per gallon with just a highlight of the purple.

Summary:

My customer was looking for that one of a kind floor and loves the outcome of this one of a kind metallic epoxy floor coating.

Warehouse Floor Epoxy Coating - Irving Texas

Project Description: Concrete Floor Coating In Warehouse 

Problem: My customer is expanding their operation into the warehouse and wanted the floors coated like I did for them in their labs.

Solution: Ground concrete and applied concrete floor coating with our partial flake and clear top coat with slip resistance.

Preparation:

The concrete was ground with 30 grit diamonds to remove all of the dirt and grim and to open the pores of the concrete to except the new coating.

Coating application:

Once the floor was properly prepped I applied the grey base coat material and did a light broadcast of 1/16" flake to add a little decor to the floor. The next day I applied a clear top coat with  glass bead broadcast into it for a little slip resistance.

Summary:

My customer was looking for an easy to clean decorative floor and they where thrilled with the outcome!

Metallic Epoxy Floor Coating - Application Process

Project Description: Metallic Epoxy installed in business restrooms

Problem: Customer wanted an attractive, durable floor for their restrooms.

Solution: Ground concrete and applied Metallic Epoxy Floor coating.

Preparation:

The concrete was ground to put a proper profile on the concrete for the coating process. 

Coating application:

Once the floor was properly prepped I applied a moisture blocking epoxy primer coat do to the high moisture content in the concrete. After that I applied a base coat of 100% solids epoxy to the floor in black and left to dry over night. The next morning I applied the two colors of metallic epoxy to the floor and left it to dry overnight and do its MAGIC! The next morning I applied a polysiloxane top coat was applied to give the floor a more scratch resistant finish.

My customer was looking for an easy to clean decorative floor that would make their customers go WOW! Mission accomplished!

Metallic Epoxy Floor Coating applied at customer entrance.

Project Description: Metallic Epoxy installed in business entrance

Problem: Customer taken a wall out and had a strip of carpet gone.

Solution: Removed carpet, added carpet transition and put down metallic epoxy.

Preparation:

The carpet was removed which left a lot of glue residue on the concrete. It was ground off and some minor cracks where repaired. 

Coating application:

Once the floor was properly prepped I applied a base coat 100% solids epoxy to the floor in black and left to dry over night. The next morning I applied the two colors of metallic epoxy to the floor and left it to dry overnight and do its magic! The next morning I applied a satin finish polyurethane top coat was applied.

Summary:

Metallic Epoxy Floor Coating

Project Description: Metallic Epoxy installed in living room

Problem: Customer wanted something different from their carpet.

Solution: Removed carpet, patched floor and applied metallic epoxy floor coating

Preparation:

The carpet was removed and the concrete was ground. Once the grinding was done there was a lot of crack repair that needed to be done before base coat of epoxy could be applied. There was so much cracking that the concrete looked like a jig saw puzzle.

Coating application:

Once the floor was properly prepped I applied a base coat 100% solids epoxy to the floor in black and left to dry over night. The next morning I applied the two colors of metallic epoxy to the floor and left it to dry overnight and do its magic! The next morning a polyurethane top coat was applied for extra abrasion resistants.

Epoxy Garage Floor Coating - Dallas, Texas

Customer had their "handyman" put down a DIY coating on their garage floor and had me come in and do it right!

Project Description: Replacing a DIY garage floor coating

Problem: Existing DIY coating was failing.

Solution: Remove what was left of the DIY coating and replace with commercial grade coating

Preparation:

The concrete was ground to remove the remaining floor paint and to put a proper texture on the concrete for excellent adhesion of the commercial grade coating.

Coating application:

Once the floor was properly prepped I applied a base coat 100% solids epoxy to the floor in tan and broadcast vinyl flake to rejection while the coating was still wet. The next morning the excess flake was vacuumed up off the floor and a high build UV stable top coat was applied.

Summary:

My customer thought they where getting away with a cheaper paint and found out that less than a year later they got what they paid for by letting an inexperience contractor do the work. Instead of being a jack of all trades these contractors need to concentrate on being a master of one.

Concrete repair & resurfacing - Gainesville, Texas

My customer had a steel plate on the floor to level out the area for moving their steel vats around. However water kept getting underneath and creating a mess. 

Project Description: Concrete repair and resurfacing

Problem: Steel plate was causing clean up problems after washing out tanks

Solution: Remove steel plate and resurfacing with concrete repair material

Preparation:

Steel plate was removed and the concrete was ground to clean and create a profile on the concrete. After grinding a primer was applied for proper adhesion. 

Resurfacing application:

After the primer was applied the repair material was mixed with one part resin and three parts sand and troweled onto the surface. The material was built up to 1/2 inch in thickness to level out the area and create an easy to clean and level surface.

Summary:

My customer was tired of the water that would get trapped under the steel plate and are quit happy with the new surface which is much easier to dry out after cleaning.

Concrete Resurfacing and Staining - Dallas Texas

My customer had some exposed aggregate concrete that they wanted covered up. They also wanted to stain the stairs and ADA ramp so the new overlay would blend in with the existing concrete. Below you can read the case study on this project.

Project Description: Concrete resurfacing and staining

Problem: Customer wanted to cover up the exposed aggregate of the stairs.

Solution: Resurface the areas that have exposed aggregate with my overlay material and stain to match.

Preparation:

The whole area was was pressure washed to remove dirt and grim and to prepare the surface for the overlay material and stain.

Resurfacing application:

Once the preparation was done I applied three coats of my concrete resurfacer to cover up the exposed aggregate. Also there where some areas that needed some concrete repair work completed before the staining process.

Staining application:

Once the the three coats of resurfacer where applied and allowed to dry I applied one of my Cool Stain colors to the entire area to blend everything together. Also this stain will keep the concrete up to 50 deg cooler in the summer time!

Summary:

My customer was looking for a way to get rid of the exposed aggregate and make everything a uniform color. They are quit happy with the outcome of this project!

Concrete curb repair - Anna Texas

Project Description: Concrete repair of broken curb in a parking lot

Problem: Concrete curb was broken from vehicle impacts 

Solution: Fast curing, 3 times stronger than concrete patch material from Flexkrete

Preparation:

A notch was carved into the curb and chiseled out to create a flush repair with the existing concrete.

Coating application:

Once the preparation was done a primer was applied to the surface and the patch material was applied to fill in the problem area. The patch material had sand and fume silica mixed in the patch material to create and paste so it could be molded into the shape of the curb. Once is was troweled into place the original control joint was put back for concrete movement.

Summary:

My customer was looking for fast and long term solution for their problem. The product once applied takes under 1 hour to fulling cure and return to service.

Once the preparation was completed a grey base coating was applied to the concrete and the decorative vinyl flake was applied to the floor. The base coat was allowed to dry overnight. The next day the floor was scraped and vacuumed to remove the loose flake. A clear polysiloxane coating was applied as a top coat for an easy to keep clean finish. The full flake also left a nice texture on the floor to give it some slip resistance since it is at the pool.

Summary:

My customer was looking for a easy to clean and attractive floor. They also needed some with some slip resistance to protect people when walking in to the restroom with wet feet from the pool.

Concrete staining - Arlington, Texas

Project Description: Game room floor given some new life

Problem: Originally had carpet which the new owners wanted gone.

Solution: Highly decorative concrete stain with matte finish.

Preparation:

The concrete floor was ground to remove paint, stain and carpet glue from the surface before staining.

Coating application:

Once the preparation was completed a brown stain was applied to the floor and allowed to dry. The stain chosen complimented the wood paneling and cabinetry in the room. To finishes it off the customer wanted a low maintenance floor so they went with a matte finish polyurethane sealer.

Summary:

My customer was looking for a easy to clean and attractive floor. They didn't want the maintenance of carpet and needed a surface that would go well with the decor and the new pool table they where having installed.
