Gravel Dump Trailer protected from tow vehicle - Aubrey, Texas

Project Description: Coat the nose of the gravel trailer

Problem: Tow vehicle throughs rocks at the tailer chipping the paint

Solution: Coat the nose of the trailer with a rubberized polyurethane

Preparation:
The surface was sanded and a primer was applied to the surface.

Coating application:
After preparing the surface a rust prohibiting primer was applied to the surface and allowed to dry. Once dry a rubberized polyurethane coating was sprayed on the surface to a desired thickness.

Summary:
If you are looking for a long term solution to painting your trailer every few years this process is a great alternative. Since the product is flexible the rocks just bounce off of the surface instead of chipping away at the surface.
