Concrete Curb Repair - Dallas Texas

Project Description: Concrete Curb Repair

Problem: Had a piece of the curb that was broke from people hitting the curb with their cars.

Solution: Removed broken area and filled in with Flexkrete concrete repair.

Preparation:

Removed broken concrete, cleaned area with wire brush and primed.

Coating application:

Mixed up Flexkrete with 1 part resin, 2 1/2 parts sand and 1 part fume silica in a 5 gallon bucket. Build up broken area in one pass and was cured in 1 hour.

Summary:

My customer loves how fast these repairs are and that they are so strong and durable. A lot less mess than tearing out and re-pouring as well.

Concrete curb repair - Anna Texas

Project Description: Concrete repair of broken curb in a parking lot

Problem: Concrete curb was broken from vehicle impacts 

Solution: Fast curing, 3 times stronger than concrete patch material from Flexkrete

Preparation:

A notch was carved into the curb and chiseled out to create a flush repair with the existing concrete.

Coating application:

Once the preparation was done a primer was applied to the surface and the patch material was applied to fill in the problem area. The patch material had sand and fume silica mixed in the patch material to create and paste so it could be molded into the shape of the curb. Once is was troweled into place the original control joint was put back for concrete movement.

Summary:

My customer was looking for fast and long term solution for their problem. The product once applied takes under 1 hour to fulling cure and return to service.

Medical Center Stairwells - Plano, TX

These stairs were in pretty bad shape from years of abuse. After cleaning off all of the rust the bad areas where repaired with new metal and the metal was coated and the stair treads where resurface to give everything a fresh new look. Here are some before and after photos.

Concrete Repair Garage Entrance - Dallas, Texas

This is where sealing concrete from the beginning is so important. This may never happen at your house but is always a chance unless you internally seal you concrete from the beginning. The re-bar will start to rust which causes it to swell. Once it starts it will put a lot of pressure on the surrounding concrete and make it crack and bust off in chunks. I pulls out all of the loose concrete prepared the surface and resurfaced the area for a clean look.

Concrete Repair Foundation - Benbrook, Texas

This customer has a 30 year old house and on one side of the foundation the rebar had rusted so badly that it swelled causing it to push out and crack and break the concrete. After chipping way all of the loose material I filled in the area with my concrete repair material giving it a nice clean look.



In this picture it shows just how bad the concrete was getting. I chipped away the loose material in preparation to fill it back in and seal it up.



Here it is after the repair work in completed. My repair material can be applied at any thickness, however, in the case of vertical work it took two layers to fill in the spalling concrete and give it a smooth finish.

 

 

 

On the three other sides of the foundation there was cracking in the concrete but no spalling concrete so here I used an epoxy injection method to fill in the cracking and seal the concrete and stop water infiltration.
