Concrete stain applied to speed bumps - Gainesville, Texas

Project Description: Safety White Speed Bumps

Problem: Standard traffic paint was failing

Solution: Applied a white concrete stain for deep penetration.

Preparation:

The area was pressure washed to remove all dirt and contaminates. 

Coating application:

Once the surface was cleaned and excess water was removed two coats of the white stain was applied to each speed bump. The areas where opened up to traffic in 24 hours.

Summary:

Originally the customer had traffic paint applied to speed bumps in another area in the apartment complex. The traffic paint had been worn off of the speed bumps in under 6 months. This is a test to see if these will be a longer term solution. I have no doubt they will be happy with this in the long run!

Concrete Resurfacing and Staining - Dallas Texas

My customer had some exposed aggregate concrete that they wanted covered up. They also wanted to stain the stairs and ADA ramp so the new overlay would blend in with the existing concrete. Below you can read the case study on this project.

Project Description: Concrete resurfacing and staining

Problem: Customer wanted to cover up the exposed aggregate of the stairs.

Solution: Resurface the areas that have exposed aggregate with my overlay material and stain to match.

Preparation:

The whole area was was pressure washed to remove dirt and grim and to prepare the surface for the overlay material and stain.

Resurfacing application:

Once the preparation was done I applied three coats of my concrete resurfacer to cover up the exposed aggregate. Also there where some areas that needed some concrete repair work completed before the staining process.

Staining application:

Once the the three coats of resurfacer where applied and allowed to dry I applied one of my Cool Stain colors to the entire area to blend everything together. Also this stain will keep the concrete up to 50 deg cooler in the summer time!

Summary:

My customer was looking for a way to get rid of the exposed aggregate and make everything a uniform color. They are quit happy with the outcome of this project!
